The World of Physical Actions – the Actor’s Creative Path

A workshop led by Dejan Stojković and assisted by Marko Potkonjak, PLAVO Theatre actors, musicians and theatre pedagogues

September 27 – October 3, 2025

This workshop is intended for anyone interested in exploring and mastering the principles of the creative process within laboratory theatre. Through practical work, participants will engage with:

  • the methodology of working on actor’s improvisations and scores,
  • the work on physical actions and text,
  • relation to sound/music,
  • finding ways to transform individual intentions into creative acts,
  • understanding how individual creative expression functions and communicates within a collective creative process.

Additionally, through specific exercises rooted in human experience, the workshop will focus on discovering personal motivations that unlock the individual creative process, as well as exploring ecstatic energy – playful energy – as a space of essential creative freedom.

The work will be held:

on September 27 and October 3, 17:00 – 19:00 and

from September 28 – October 2, 17:00 – 20:00.

What should you prepare?

  • A short text – 5 to 10 sentences long, any topic. It can be an excerpt from a favorite book or from poetry.
  • Comfortable working clothes and a towel.

Dejan Stojković

Actor/musician of PLAVO Theatre since 2000, theatre pedagogue in PLAVO Theatre since 2011. Actor in 20 performances of PLAVO Theatre including Oscar Wilde and the Inconstant Prince in 2001, Dialectics of Soul – Study of Freedom in 2004, I Sing Like a Bird in 2006, Daydream – A Story from Terezin, which presented Serbia at Wroclaw-European capital of culture 2016 on Theatre Olympics 2016, Wroclaw, Hannah in 2021, I Psychi tis Antigonis in 2023. In 2024 he co-created and performed in international co-production The Passage, created within the Creative Europe project The Paradox of Justice – European Laboratory Theatre Co-production. To broaden his acting work, he participates in workshops led by Odin Teatret actress Iben Nagel Rasmussen and The Way, led by teacher and former actress of Jerzy Grotowski’s Laboratory Theatre Rena Mirecka. He participated in several concerts of PLAVO Theatre such as Concert of Decadence, All Things Must Pass – a tribute to George Harrison etc. Assistant director and educator of various educational projects for young people such as Two Open Weeks of Plavo Theatre or Contemporary Theatre Studio. From 2016-2019 he leads the workshops Flow, applied theatrical methodology in work with IT sector and Flow Ability nationally and internationally. Since 2019 ongoing he has been leading several inclusive educational projects with youth with disabilities such Ode to Diversitiy (2021-2022) as well as with young migrants and asylum seekers (2021).

Marko Potkonjak

Actor and musician in PLAVO Theatre since 2001, theatre trainer and pedagogue since 2012. He performed in 17 PLAVO Theatre performances and co-productions presented in numerous festivals nationally and internationally such as Dialectics of Soul – Study of Freedom in 2006, I Sing Like a Bird in 2006, The Island of Flowers in 2013, Daydream – A Story from Terezin which presented Serbia at Wroclaw-European capital of culture 2016 at Theatre Olympics 2016, I Psychi tis Antigonis in 2023. In 2024 he performed in international co-production The Passage, created within the Creative Europe project The Paradox of Justice – European Laboratory Theatre Co-production and in 2025 he was an assistant director and an actor in the latest PLAVO Theatre production Deaf Dorian Gray – the inclusive potential of utopia. He participated in several concerts of PLAVO Theatre such as Concert of Decadence, All Things Must Pass, a tribute to George Harrison etc. Since 2017 he has been engaged in inclusive educational projects within Erasmus+ and Creative Europe programs as a leader of theatre workshops and workshops of percussion playing with deaf and hard of hearing youth, as well as theatre workshops with sign language interpreters. He assisted the work on the performance with deaf, hard of hearing and hearing performers Triptych 2 – My Hamlet in 2022 and an inclusive project with the disabled youth Ode to Diversity (2023-2025).
