A workshop led by Maša Jelić, PLAVO Theatre actress and theatre pedagogue
September 27 – October 3, 2025, 11:00 – 14:00
We will train our bodies and voices, not to make them more capable or more fascinating, but rather to make them transparent, obstacle free, allowing our inner content to become visible. Complete actor’s training is a practice of liberation and integration of our physical, emotional and spiritual existence. It is a way to reveal and follow our organic impulses, our authenticity, our truth. Training teaches us how to be completely present and more aware on stage, how to endure effort with mental ease and lucidity, how to flow.

Physical training uses different practical elements from various backgrounds, such as hatha yoga, martial arts, exercises for mobility and plasticity of the body, traditional dances, combined with music, text or different contextual tasks. They can be adapted to any level of physical ability (no worries 😊).
Vocal training includes breathing practice and various exercises that open, or wake our vocal capacities by exploring a vocal action, no matter if we speak, sing, scream or just breathe, as an extension of the body in the space. It is a path of discovering the truthful vibration related to our inner circumstances.
What should you prepare?
- A traditional song, preferably from your own country, but it can also be from any other tradition of your choice;
- Comfortable working clothes (covering shoulders and knees), a towel (we’ll sweat).
Looking forward to meeting you in the room!
