Occident From the 1930s onwardsThe Dobre Museum is a unique museum, a collectors' museum, the result of passionate desires, diverse interests, and scientific endeavors. A departmental property, it is built on two distinct yet intertwined pillars: the donation of the Archaeological Society's collections in 1860 and the legacy of those of Thomas II Dobre in 1895. These two entities merged at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to give rise to a museum of more than 130,000 objects
