Zilveren geboortelepel, Vrede, G. van Velsen, Bolsward, 1732 1965 year letter V for 1755Frisian silver birth spoon crowned with 'Peace'. The spoon was made by the silversmith Gerard van Velzen from Bolsward. He was active from: 1721 to 1791. The spoon has a crowned horn as a maker's mark. (Voet 1974 336) Engraved on the spoon is: On February 21, Geert Jans was born in 1732. He was baptized on February 24, 1732, in Bolsward.
