De Una Maximiliana Mezcal Raicilla Extra Anejo Unlike almost every other MezcalRaicilla is a single distilled spirit produced primarily from Maximiliana agave grown and harvested by hand in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. A relatively unknown cousin of tequila and mezcal, raicilla is in fact an authentic artisanal agave spirit rooted in folklore and tradition dating to pre colonial Mexico, more than 400 years ago.
