Eja beads are altered (heated up and then squashed flat) Venetian beads from the mid late 1800s that were primarily traded in Nigeria. Sizes range from the small 3mm x 8mm to the large 11mm x 3mm. While most of the beads are in excellent shape, the ones at the top of the strand do show a lot of wear and tear, and are older beads.
