Purple Mist Stars Use a variety of ribbons70" x 70" Purple Mist is a quilt which uses simple piecing and English paper pieced flowers together in a dynamic setting. I often enjoy English paper piecing when on vacation or watching TV which means I make many flowers. In this quilt and its bigger sister, Silver Mist, the flowers are appliqud onto plain blocks to make the work portable and to add different colors. The quilt combines 2 different blocks, a pieced block and a flower appliqu block.
